Now its my turn to write a blog, and you guessed it, it’s me Hugh. I’m going to write about three things that I like about the trip. So far, we have been to three islands, Antigua, St. Maarten, and Anguilla, which is the newest. We are right now in Road Bay Anguilla.
The first thing I like is swimming at the beach and body boarding with the big waves and getting trashed in the waves. My favorite place for doing that is at the famous Maho beach where you are full of sand and wind with the blast from the jet. Maho Beach, it’s where the airplanes touch down so close to the beach that it looks like they are landing on the building and your heads. They also jet blast you when they take off, hitting you with sand and blowing you over. My favorite airplane is from KLM airlines because it was the biggest airplane that we got jet blasted by far.
My second thing I like about living on the sailboat is eating treats. Some of the treats we get are Haribo candy, Tia’s pudding, chocolate croissants, San Pellegrino and La Croix and eclairs, which is a pastry that has chocolate or vanilla topping with some vanilla or chocolate custard. My favorite Haribo is the coca cola flavor. Tia’s pudding is very good (like she said), and I hope you got the recipe for it or not you’re missing out. I don’t have a favorite drink between La Croix and San Pellegrino because both are good with their bubbly texture.
Finally, the last thing I like about living on a sailboat is playing with Owen. Owen and I made up a game with Pokemons and we play up front on trampoline and on land. How we play is that we’re trainers and just like in the real world the pokemon world has 7 regions (continents). So, we both pick a region like Unova, Alola or Kanto that the pokemons live in. Then there are starter pokémon and the three types are fire, water, and grass and there are 15 more types like fairy or dragon. So, then we pick the Pokémon for that region and we play battles, we travel through the region and we camp out, cook and visit Nurse Joy. That’s how we play Pokemons, but I never stop making more games for us to play.
In conclusion I love living on a boat. But, I don’t like everything, one thing I don’t like is saying good bye to an island and leaving it, but that’s sailing life. Those are my favorite things and I love them which is good, but I will miss Maho beach because its so fun there. Oh, and one more thing is that I like climbing to crazy heights.
Hugh – we are living vicariously through your stories and pictures. but I especially like to read about what you truly like and don’t! Which reminds me to ask about getting that pudding recipe! Sorry for this late reply – we do read your stories as soon as we get them…replying takes a bit longer!

Hey Hugh! Looks like you guys are having the time of your lives!! It is so freakin’ cold and damp here in Nova Scotia where Uncle Robbie and I are, I have to say, I’m pretty jealous of you all right now! Owen is so very lucky to have such a wonderful, sweet big-brother like you to come up with all of these fun games and interesting things to do. When my son was your age, he really loved Pokémon too…I didn’t understand how to play it then….and I still don’t haha. I love looking at all of the pictures and even more, I love that you guys have the opportunity to experience all of this…following this blog is keeping me a little warmer during this cold, crappy Nova Scotia winter…We love you all very much and can’t wait to read more

Great blog Hugh. Poppie would be proud of what a great guy you are and smart just so smart too. Keep enjoying this trip of a lifetime.
Thank you Nanny andLOL (lots of love)
Sounds awesome Hugh, especially climbing to great heights. That was one of my favourite hobbies when I was your age. In fact I still love climbing. Body surfing is a blast as well.
Although it’s not fun to leave an island you have enjoyed, just think of the new and exciting possibilities of exploring the next island! They all are so very different. Maybe you can find my girlfriend’s sunglasses in Anquilla. Lol. She was so excited and showing off her new designer sunglasses when she got taken by a wave and when she came up from under they were gone.
Thanks for the reminder about Tia’s pudding. I’m still waiting for the recipe!
Say hi to your Mom and Dad and we are thrilled to hear of all your adventures.
Thanks! I will try to find the sunglasses! LOL!
